The 2022/2023 Leadership Corp program kicked off with a seminar taught by Professor Stephen C. Alder on Thursday the 2nd of September, 2022. The seminar was titled, “The Leader in You.” The 2022/2023 Leadership Corp. program was the 3rd in succession since its inception.
Ensign Global Leadership Corp Scholarship Program was established in September 2019 to help students develop skills through a series of public health initiatives. One of the objectives of the program is to help students gain experiences and real-world skills in leadership to augment their studies and prepare them to become effective public health leaders. The program enriches the student experience through leadership, training, and extracurricular community health activities.
Students enrolled in the program are required to provide 30 hours of service each semester in exchange for a scholarship that is applied to their tuition.
Ehoenam Ama Mawuenyefia, a student from Cohort 9 notes, “This program is helping me to define and refine myself and the way I look at and approach things. I am beginning to understand that creating change in communities begins with the changing of self.”
